Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Novak Media DBA Midwest Health Clinics(“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Midwest Health Clinics(the “Service”), a directory of health and wellness clinics across the Midwest. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Account information. If you claim or manage a clinic listing, we collect the email address you authenticate with through our authentication provider, plus the listing content you choose to add or edit.
- Billing information. Paid and Premium subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; Stripe handles payment data and shares limited subscription status with us.
- Lead submissions. When you submit a contact form on a Premium clinic listing, the information you provide is delivered to that clinic and retained for our records.
- Usage and diagnostics. We use privacy-respecting analytics that do not use tracking cookies, and we collect aggregated performance and error diagnostics to keep the Service reliable.
Clinic listing data
Most clinic information shown in the directory is sourced from public business data, including Google Places. We display business ratings and review counts but never republish individual review text. Mapping and place data are provided by Google.
How we use information
- To operate the directory and render clinic, city, and category pages.
- To let verified owners claim and manage their listings.
- To process subscriptions and deliver paid features.
- To deliver lead-form submissions to the relevant clinic.
- To monitor performance, prevent abuse, and fix errors.
Service providers
We share information with vendors that help us run the Service, including our database and authentication host, payment processor (Stripe), hosting and content delivery providers, privacy-respecting analytics, error-monitoring, transactional email, and mapping providers. These providers process data only as needed to provide their services.
Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies (for example, to keep clinic owners signed in to the management portal). Our analytics are cookieless and do not track you across other sites.
Data retention
We retain account, listing, and billing records for as long as your listing is active and as required for legal, accounting, and audit purposes. You may request deletion of your account data as described below.
Your choices
You may access, correct, or request deletion of the personal information associated with your owner account by contacting us. Where applicable law provides additional rights, we honor them.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
